Figured I'd start this one out. Not only a 'what are you drinking' thread but a 'what's good in your neighborhood' thread!
I'm in Sac and have been homebrewing for over 5 years now. Love me some IPA's, especially the West Coast version of IPA's (hops hops and more hops!).
Sacramento is NOT the mecca of beer! However it is a great hub to be in as there are quality examples widely available of pretty much any style you would want. My favorites:
Black Butte Porter
Racer 5 IPA
Green Flash West Coast IPA
Russian River Pliney the Elder
Lagunitas Lil Sumpin Sumpin, IPA, Maximus, New Dogtown Pale (yeah, I love Lagunitas)
Ayinger Celebrator Dopplebock
Delerium Tremens
Chimay Red and Blue
New Belgium Belgo IPA, Ranger IPA, Dig pale ale, 1554
Avery IPA
Firestone Walker Union Jack IPA and Pale 31
Mission St IPA and Pale Ale
I'm sure I have missed a few that will have me banging my head later but thats a quick list of my own personal faves.
