The AP says it was clean

Amare Stoudemire blocked a shot by Brad Miller with less than a second remaining that would have tied the game, and the Phoenix Suns beat the Sacramento Kings 125-123 in a thrilling matchup of the Pacific Division's top two teams Tuesday night. Miller, Chris Webber and Mike Bibby immediately began yelling at official Bernie Fryer, calling for goaltending. But several replays showed it was a clean block.

Steve Nash scored a season-high 33 points with 17 assists as the Suns snapped an eight-game losing streak in Arco Arena to win for the eighth time in nine games. Nash has passed for 11 or more assists in each of his last seven games.

Chris Webber had 24 points, 10 rebounds and 12 assists for his third triple-double this season and second in as many games _ marking the first time in Sacramento franchise history a player has recorded back-to-back triple-doubles.

Joe Johnson scored nine of his 28 points in the fourth quarter for Phoenix, which won in Sacramento for the first time since April 9, 2000, and avenged a 113-111 loss to the Kings on Nov. 13.

The Kings were one of only two Western Conference teams the Suns hadn't beaten this season. The other is San Antonio.

Mike Bibby had 27 points, seven assists and six rebounds for the Kings after scoring 35 and 40 points in his two previous games.

Nash's 3 with 5:39 left gave the Suns a 107-106 lead, and Marion scored the next time down to cap an 8-0 run. Miller missed a layin on a three-on-one break with less than 2 minutes remaining, then Marion tied the game at 119 on the other end. Miller's short turnaround jumper with 34.9 to go made it 123-122, but Quentin Richardson scored on the other end moments later.

Wow bad reporting, talk about folling the party line. I am not sure how anyone seeing the play formt he uper angle would not see it as a goal tend. Maybe I am a hopeless hommer compleetly lackign objectivity.

i don't have to say it was clean. i am not worried about the nba shutting me out of the games. i was cheering for the kings to win.

but what i saw looked like a clean block. you should be focusing on the things the kings could have controlled like dunking the ball instead of tossing it, or making the free throws.

I dont know what you were watching then....1) Miller didn't have time to dunk....2) Everytime I see the replay, the ball was in the cylinder...3) It would have been nice to get a chance to make free throws, because they made them down the stretch.

You're Missing the Point ...

Read this very closely ....

"The ball was within the imaginary cylinder above the rim" .... TIVO

That's all that is being debated.

Now ... if you wanna talk about what the King's shoulda/coulda/woulda done, that's another thread.
