The All-Star Weekend discussion thread

Well, there might lie your answer, NBA.

Turn the All-Star game into Kumite one-on-one fight club style tournament...

How many times in history did a player scores zero points in an All-Star game?
It happened last year (Chris Paul). It also happened in 2018 (LaMarcus Aldridge), 2014 (Dirk Nowitzki), 2013 (Aldridge and Kevin Garnett)... I don't know how many more; I stopped looking after that.

Admittedly didn’t watch the game tonight, but looking at the box score it wasn’t a great weekend for Kings players. Yeesh.

It was by no means bad, except for Huerter's performance -- which was terrible.

But Swipa and Domas didn't play much and didn't try to steal the show when they touched the ball.

The NBA all-star game caters to the players whom are ball dominant and want the attention.

He played 9 minutes and took one shot.

I don't think he gave a rats @$$ and probably would have rather been at home with the baby. Can't blame him, cause the all-star game is basically unwatchable. It's always been bad, but it's gone far past bad the past decade or so.

Just looking at his body language and effort it was clear his mind was elsewhere. He gave ZERO energy and effort tonight.

If I had to guess, his missus encouraged him to participate and he went thru the motions.

Fox didn't care at all and it was obvious. Slim over here trying to create a nothing burger into something.

Troll level = weak

Dont understand why some players get 30mins and other get 9 like fox.
But at least there was someone that had fun this all-star weekend from the Kings...

The only thing I disagree with Mike Brown about is that he can't find regular rotation minutes for Queta. This team is desperate for a big bodied backup center who can rebound and throw outlet passes and there's Queta stashed in the G League all season. Even if he does nothing else, he can at least stop us from getting punked on the boards when Sabonis is off the floor. Mike Brown has more than proven himself as an NBA coach though so I have to trust that he has a plan for Queta somehow.

Have you watched the actual NBA minutes Queta has played this year?

If the Kings sucked, there would be major issues not playing Queta. But for the first time in ever, we’re in no position to experiment with someone.

All 25 of them? I don't think so, no. He never seems to play when I'm watching. What I have seen is a lot more than 25 minutes worth of garbage backup big men on other teams grabbing rebounds over the top of our entire lineup because we don't have a single full-size center in the rotation. I'm not asking him to go toe to toe with Embiid and Jokic -- I just want someone to come in and hit back when the Thomas Bryant's of the league are putting up superstar numbers against us. Keep him in the toolbox and deploy him when needed.

bring back East vs West format Mister Silver and limit minutes for starters to 20 minutes each while dispersing the rest among the bench

The entire weekend has become complete garbage except for the three point competition.

The League is completely misreading what the fans want, that, or they're deliberately doing something weird because of agents or something - pushing "stars" on us. Whatever it is, it's incredibly uninteresting.

The only actual NBA minutes Queta played were against the Lakers and the Hornets, Hornets were kinda bad but unfair, considering you need time to adapt to the game and the only minutes he had before were versus freaking Embiid. Against the Lakers he played great.

Have you watched any of his minutes in Stockton btw?
