The 2007 All Star game was supposed to be played here in Sacramento?..

Where did they get that?

Sacramento doesn't have enough hotels and venues to support an All-Star game. That's the reason we've always been given by the League.

The Track and Field Olympic Trials had 24,000 people everyday for 8 days in Sacramento and hotels wern't a problem. Arco is the problem, that and the Maloofs want to party at the Palms.

Still, that's the reason we've always been given by the League. There are probably enough cheap hotel rooms, but they want top of the line hotels.

And a party-town.

You mean that Sacramento doesn't fit with this list?

2002 = Philadelphia
2003 = Atlanta
2004 = LA
2005 = Denver
2006 = Houston

I am kidding. I am not that unrealistic about Sacramento.

Yeah, that information is wrong. Wikipedia is beautiful, but it's inherently unreliable. I don't think Sac was ever in the question for the All-Star Game. As a lifelong resident, I must say that Sacramento as an entertainment venue absolutely sucks.
