As you say he was down for a GOOD joke.. I don't think the name calling and insults are necessary at all.

as a person I hope everyone has a huge respect for him, as a player he's under magnifying glass.

Amusing? So say you. I on the other hand find nothing amusing about
kicking a soon to be "former" Kings player as he is on his way out the door.
I was personally disappointed in his contributions to the team, but I see no
reason for the personal insults.

I don't think anyone is insulting him personally. They're making light of the situation that arose when he started riding the bench so much. If you'll remember, the majority of contributers on this board were calling for Adelman's head for not playing O-Tag enough. It's all in good fun, and Tag has shown himself to be a good sport, so why not a nice little roast for him on the way out? It's the way he'd like it.

The sadthing is that Tag could have and maybe even should have had a much larger impact on the team, but I will miss him anyway. The did help the team with his game.

No one is kicking him or making personal attacks. I call him "Oaftertag", big deal. He'd laugh himself. He sat with the fans, big deal. He was an amusing character when he was here, lets send him off in an amusing fashion.

oaf=stupid person; idiot--I don't think that description is all in good fun. Annex is calling him Oaftag and Oaftertag. I thought this was a wishing him well thread not a basketball celebrity roast as you say. Some of the jabs at him I am sure he could laugh at. I was not referring to all of them. It just seemed classier IMHO to simply wish him well.
