[drupal=43]Talk of the town?[/drupal]

The Kings left Los Angeles with not much good to talk about. The game was abysmal and the story about Artest, Douby and Williams being turned away very late at an LA hot spot was - to say the least - a little unsettling.

The team is now in Utah, and you have to hope Reggie has tightened the reins and that tonight's endeavor against the Jazz won't be as totally demoralizing as the "game" against the Clippers.

The only "bright spot" - if you have to find one - from the last game was that the team didn't quit at the end. They never really got started. I'm really hoping it was the exception that proves the rule, so to speak.

Our games against Utah are generally interesting and we will, once again, be faced with the opportunity to show we can beat the good teams in the West.

The game discussion thread is here.

The play-by-play thread is here.

GO KINGS!!!

FakeInjury - Um, what? Sorry, but I'm not following what you're trying to say at all.

BMiller52 - As far as them being turned away, I don't know. I'm referring to a video clip from tmz.com that has been linked at least two or three times already on the board. (Check the Art Studio, for example).

I see this as grease for a trade, but lets hope its not. And if jones wasn't in front of Douby, he is now. Only now, do I think Ron really comprehends, that he may have hurt douby and williams in more ways than one. If any person is punished for this, i think it needs to be artest. If i was coach theus, as punishemnt I would tell him "Your a center now, since you already beat out all the power fowards, not you have to beat out miller and moore for playing time"

Dear VF21,

Are you trying to say I should post right or not at all? I am just throwing out an idea that i derived from the game, im sorry you dont follow, probably 9 of 10 dont follow...maybe and probably more. I apologize VF for any percieved attack or malice. and I would like to explain myself... Gambling is a risky enterprise as some may note, I'm suggesting, it is possible that alot of LA citizens were to be put out if the kings won...get my drift?

I'm saying your post MADE NO SENSE. LA citizens were going to be put out if the Kings won? Yeah, whatever...

Remember, smoking and posting do not mix - especially around here.

Eek. Proof reading would go a long way.

There are recommended dietary allowences for many things. Smoking is illegal under the age of 18. Well im under 22. Im watching the first quarter of the CSN-replay. I was making a big deal about nothing. I think the LA story is was just a bad game, and a bad day. The guys probably went out to unwind. Its stories like these that make me think....which night club turned em' down?

HUH??

So what in that video says it was late at night? It doesn't even say which night it was? And the title says they were "bounced" when apparently they were just not allowed in. Quite a different thing.

What night was it? Come on. When did the Kings go to Los Angeles? Tuesday night after the game. The mere fact Justin was with the team narrows it down considerably since they were without him the last time they traveled to Los Angeles in October.

And what time did the team get to LA? Well, again it's pretty easy to figure out. The game against the Nets ended at 9:23 as evidenced by the game discussion and PBP threads for that night. After the team showered and changed, Mikki Moore met with some of the kids who were part of Mikki's Snake Pit (as mentioned by Koz and Fat during the post-game HousePartyLive) so they didn't even get to the airport until probably 11. Add two hours for the flight to LA, getting settled in the hotel, etc. and it's already 1 a.m. which is past Reggie's curfew for nights on the road.

I can understand Douby hanging around with Artest, as they come from the same general area but seeing Justin with them after all the trouble he's had already is just aggravating, to say the least.

As far as "bounced" vs. "not allowed in" that's not the point so much as the obvious fact they were out on the town late in the middle of a back-to-back. And what's troubling about that is after the very public tirade by Ron aimed at Theus this was just a blatant disregard for team rules. And one more red flag warning about Ron Artest, his actions and potential for disaster.

How am I supposed to know all that? I just watched the video and there was no date or time on it. Could it have been after the Clippers game? When did they leave LA for Utah?

The title on the TMZ video was purposly misleading by using the word "bounced". I just have a thing about accuracy in journalism. And yes, certainly TMZ is hardly the standard.

I'm not happy about them hanging out looking for whatever trouble they were looking for. I just like to get accurate information from a "news" site, and yes, the word "news" hardly fits TMZ.

The Kings flew out of Los Angeles Wednesday night for Utah. It had to be Tuesday night...

I agree about accuracy in journalism and TMZ, but in this case it's easy to answer your questions because of other stuff I pointed out.

:)

So if it was after curfew, then they should have been fined or something.

Maybe we can ask them to suspend Artest for... about 40 more games.
