Spurs v. Suns

i didn't know they were playing each other tonight

Duncan sat out last night or whatever night it was where they played the Nets cuz he has a sore something...i think its his ankle...it seems like everyone in the NBA has the same injury...::shakes head:: i have no idea why Manu is sitting out

::goes to watch::

Anyone watching? Why are Ginobili and Duncan sitting out?

Duncan sprained his ankle in the last day or so.

Ginobili is also hurt, but I missed the details.

Boring game, huh? I hope that SA can come back and make it an exciting game. If I had to choose between them, I would cheer for SA. As it is, I don't really care who wins.

The weird thing is they both played last night!

I'm pulling fir the Suns. I'm still thinking the Kings wil be the 4/5 seed. So, I'm hoping to get the Spurs out of at least the first 2 rounds.

they said Manu is out with hip/shoulder/groin injuries...well he's pretty brokin down then....geez louise...i mean you knew he HAD to be pretty sore if they were gonna allow him to sit out WHILE Tims out too

i guess its the throwing your body in to harms way that eventually got the best of him

Can't blame Parker much for gunning in this game, and the Spurs are still hanging tough in the 4th.

Amare now just picked up his 5th foul with over 9 minutes left in the 4th. Amare has 34 points to this point.

Stoudemire this season: 56.6% shooting, 26 ppg.
Nash: 51% fg, 16.2 points and 11.4 assists per game.

wow.

All i have to say is that the Suns are nothing without Nash, Amare is nothing without him as well...even in the dunk contest :D . I really like Barbosa and Joe Johnson, i would love to see either one in a kings uni. The Spurs looked good though without Ginobili and Duncan they stayed right in this game. They are gonna win it this year..

Amare with 44 points on 22 shots. Now that's efficient. It's nice to see Nash helping his game expand, but Amare is going to be a force to be reckoned with for years to come.

i too like Barbosa...he had a great year last year...but this year due to Nash coming back and Barbosa's injury we haven't gotten to see the true him shine through...half of the time i watch a Suns game i completely forget he's on the team until he comes in...and i feel bad for Joe cuz he's so quiet he doesn't get his just due half the time

as far as this game...its absolutely ridiculous IMO that the Spurs let Amare cake walk through the whole game...i mean i guess with no Duncan you have to expect it but 44 points?? I agree with 4cwebb in that Amare will be a GREAT player one day...but he's not that special of a player (right now) to be getting 44 points in a game...and easily at that....his 26ppg a game is easily explained in Nash...

ugh i dunno what im saying i just can't stand Amare

He doesn't have much of a game past 5 feet and most of his points come off dunk and easy shots. Also, he doens't rebound all that well for his size and abilities. He's got young legs and that helps him but he needs to improve his all around game in order to be a force. I agree that without Nash he would be average.

Without Nash amare is nothing but average. Nash has the ability to turn a bench scrub into a superstar (well maybe not necessarily a superstar but you get the idea..)

I know...is there any way we can get either Barbosa or Joe J?

[PipeDream] hmm, maybe we can trade TAG for either Barbosa or JJ....Given Nash's ability, maybe he can work his magic and turn TAG into an offensive monster

Is that why Amare averaged over 25 points per game on 50% shooting last year with barbosa running the point? hmmmm

are you a suns fan Ray Allen...cuz everytime someone says something negative about the Suns you jump down their throat...more so if someone says something about the Sonics...whats up with that?

not a fan no but they get disrespected way too much for a team who is 47-14. They are part of one of the best turn arounds from last year this league has seen. yet all people like to do is talk down on them and their players. Just doesn't seem right to me.

He scored a little over 20 a game with the same amount of shots as he gets this year excpet his shooting percentage was 47% and this year it's 57% because Nash feeds him about 4 or 5 dunks a game.

Turn around or not I think there game is alot like the Mavs of a few years ago. Score alot of points and have a great regular season record but they won't go anywhere in the playoffs.

Matchups take priority in the post season and when you concentrate on one team in a series you learn how to defend what they do. Teams will scheme and plan on how to shut down Nash and if you do that the team struggles. Seattle scares me more than Phoenix does just because of Ray Allen and what he can do.

By the way, I think Phoenix's defense has gotten way worse as the season has worn on(not that they were good in the first place). Giving up 101 points to San Antonio without Duncan and Ginobili is mind boggling.

Hahaha!! :D You never know...

So what if he's set up a lot by Nash. That's what makes Nash good. And for now, Nash and Amare are both on the same team so I don't get what all the fuss is about. While their style of play hasn't historically done well in the playoffs, they haven't fallen off as we all expected.

Wow, is right. I had no idea they were putting up numbers THAT impressive. Just another problem with not having League Pass this year.
