Special K Hooks Up with BoJax in SPDL

I was just browsing the Sacramento Professional Development League site and noticed that Kevin Martin has now joined DMC, Bobby Jackson's team in the league. On Monday night, Martin scored 33 points and Jackson tallied 32 to key a 120-116 win over Basketball Town. Phil Ricci and Henry Turner are on the Basketball Town squad. Bobby had scored 50 and 52 points, respectively, in his previous two games in the SPDL.

I think it's time to take in another SPDL game at Capital Christian. ;)

DMC takes the floor next on Thursday night at 7 PM.

Damn it, it will be crowded there:D I'm getting there early to get a good seat.

Dang! Me too. Save me a seat, Kg.

And I am not bringing my camera...I don't have one (digital anyway).

Oh, I will wear a KingsFans.com t-shirt so as to be identifiable. :p

I just got back from Capital Christian for tonight's SPDL game. No Kings in attendance tonight, since Bibby and House were in Arizona for Mike's hoops camp. Barnes, also missing, may have been with them, but no confirmation of that.

So no photos...tonight...

Basketball Town defeated Doc's/Pro Med (Bibby/House/Barnes' team) by a 106-90 count. BT has 3 local HS products on the team, Ryan Anderson and Andrew Browning (both juniors) of the state champ Oak Ridge High team, and Kevin Galloway of SAC High. Galloway was a no-show, but the Oak Ridge kids showed up and looked very comfortable and fit right in with these college and pro players.

i was thinking about going when both the team with bibby and the team with bobby were playing each other and hopefully they will all be in attendance

I went to the game last night and hooked up with Kingsgurl and 1kingzfan. We watched Bobby and Kevin's team beat their opponents in a close and exciting game.

For those who are worried about Bobby and Kevin's health, they were taking it easy at times and letting their teammates do much of the work. This is a developmental league, after all. Kingsgurl and I both decided that our guys were just getting in some good practice and staying in basketball shape. They were not working "too" hard, as in diving for loose balls, etc.

Kingsgurl introduced me to Kevin Martin (which was way cool). In fact, when he looked up from the other side of the court, and saw Kingsgurl and 1kingzfan, Kevin put a big smile on his face and came all the way across the court to shake hands and say hello. He even teased Kg that he hadn't been seeing her at many games lately.

I introduced myself (after the game) to a player named Zach Andrews on Bobby and Kevin's team. That young man sure has some hops and a couple of times other players lobbed passes for him to jam. Anyway, I asked him if he was going to Bradley University and he said he was starting there next year. I told him that I was from Illinois and that I had friends who attended that school. I also wished him luck and told him that I enjoyed his game.

I have the schedule (courtesy of 1kingzfan) and looks like our guys play on Tuesday and Wednesday next week. Games start at 7 p.m. and only cost $5. Hopefully, I will make it to both games. It helps with TDOS.

Darn. The lighting in there was bad for digital (I forgot to turn on the flash) My camera doesn't deal well with motion in un-natural light. Salvaged a couple (still blurry)

Thanx for making the game report, 6th!

Thanx for taking the pix, KG! Look forward to seeing them.

Ya'll have done my job for me. :D

Okay, the pictures pretty much all suck

We actually were sitting too close (right behind the bench) for optimal picture taking of anything besides the backs of peoples heads

How cool, thanks for the report and pics. Glad to hear they're not over exerting themselves and risking injuries. OK Kg, I have to ask what's the deal with you and Kevin?

i get to go to the gameo n tuesday night

Look me up, kings52/23. I will probably wear my KingsFans.com t-shirt and sit behind the DMC bench. (DMC is Bobby and Kevin's team)

I was there with my son and a friend on Wednesday night hoping to see Bibby & Barnes, and although they were not there we got to watch some fun b-ball! I can't imagine how much more fun it would be to see a couple of our guys there playing also. I strongly recommend going if at all possible, there were less than 100 people in attrendance. If I had not been suffering with a migraine I may have been more sociable 1kingzfan, sorry about that...

Awesome pictures, Kingsgurl! :D Yall are so0o incredibly lucky to live in Sac! Whenever I get over my fear of airplanes, I'll have to pay a visit there.
