The Bulls deal makes sense and really helps all parties involved.

if we get extract Ilyasova from Milwaukee, then I wouldn't mind getting Ellis. But, signing Ellis straight up is disastrous.

I'd rather have Henson. But neither is going to happen. The Bucks just signed OJ Mayo - why would they want to deal for Thornton and his contract?

Well, for starters, Ily is a PF, not a SF. But I wanted him last off-season as he's one of the best stretch 4's in the game, but not a complete wimp like 95% of them are. He's a good rebounder and a good individual defender.

That was my reaction as well, although I'll admit I didn't even make it to the Bulls one because the others were so ridiculous

Looks like a lot of trash for treasure trades to me.

Besides those trades have us getting guys we need like Asik and Henson. That's not part of PDA's plan. He wants undersized players that don't play defense and don't make any sense to add to this team.

I'd take this first deal with Milwaukee any day. We get two relatively young and valuable players and Monta who I personally like.
I see Asik appears in many possible combinations. I am not a fan of the guy and I think we can do better on that position.
