Sim City

Yep, I lost like 100lbs in a year when I was 18. That was with going to college full time and working 25 hours a week at a pizza shop. His job is literally ultra cardio everyday. He must have eating problems or something.

Yeah all he has to do is lose weight and he is guaranteed do much money . The fact that he's still this fat and making thousands when he can easily make millions is unsettling. But hey, life is good if you're Indian and vivek is the owner.

Any questions?

Yeah just one...

Is he filled with air?

He's looks as big as a house out there yet he's pushed around all game long by much smaller guys. I don't get it. It must be his high center or gravity or something.

All I know is the gimic is over, there is no way he can ever guard an NBA caliber big man. I'd say at his current weight but I really think he's just not athletic enough. I do hope I'm wrong though, at least he's trying out there...

After his dunks I thought he looked more quick & nimble than he looked at any point in the D-League last season.

Right after I thought that, he immediatly slowed down and looked just like I remembered him, if not even slower and worse. Not an encouraging outing at all.

Sim... Lose 50+ more pounds, a legit NBA career depends on it. Whatever it is right now doesn't and willn't cut it.

Its not even about losing 50 more pounds. I think he may actually have gotten FATTER than last time we saw him. That's a terrible sign. Guys can be fat, but they can't stay fat. That denotes a lack of dedication/determination to his craft, or an incurable pituitary problem. It rarely reverses mid career. If you start out on the Oliver Miller path and don't immediately start correcting it as you realize the stakes, then maybe you just don't care enough. Without Vivek's personal attention I'm not sure he's got much of an argument for us with all the length we've picked up. Not about talent, skill or anything. Just fat, and the lack of dedication it implies. If I told you all you had to do was lose 80lbs off a 360lb body (so let's say 40 off a flabby 180lb body) in order to earn millions, and oh here, you can have access to elite weight room's professional trainers etc. etc., think you could suck it up long enough to do it? I mean its not even like he would have to hold that weight. Just drop it long enough to get his money and then balloon back up. Its a bad sign when a guy won't even reliably contract year push.

P.S. I think he is as fat as ever, but I do think he was in better shape. You can be a fat couch potato, or fat and relatively fit cardio wise. He looked more fit. But he carries so much weight he can't balance or change direction or get off the ground to truly make his 7'5" frame a problem for drivers.

The complete lack of anything resembling the slightest of muscle definition across the shoulders and his getting pushed around tells me he's not even fat with some decent muscle underneath, like you'd see with an NFL defensive tackle. Even Big Baby has a decent muscular build below is flab. There's nothing resembling the v-shape in this guy through the torso.

Sim, just fat. Doesn't care enough to quit eating at all you can eat buffets. I have zero interest in this guy. Would make a decent story being the first Indian guy to make it in the NBA but that's really all he has going for him. If he was pale and grew up in Idaho and there was no story attached to him, would anyone care?

As someone who used to work in the fitness/nutrition industry I can tell you point blank, for a guy of his weight and body fat %, which likely is around 40%, losing weight is easier than it is for a smaller guy. Cuz dropping weight and cutting up was tougher. The lower your body fat %, the more your body fights to retain the fat. It's also far easier to create a caloric deficit when you're that overweight. Put this guy on a healthy, high protein/healthy fat 4K calorie diet per day(yes, more than any of us likely eat), on top of an NBA training program and he'd cut up quickly. Just has no dedication to his craft.

The saddest thing about all this is that with movies relying so heavily on CGI these days, Sim can't even audition to play Jabba the Hutt's son in the new Star Wars movie.

Sim was abysmal yesterday. A disgrace. He was bullied under the basket by a guy, 50-100 poinds lighter. He had no drive to be effective on the court. Almost like he knew he was a novelty. I hope this project is over unless he drops under 290. Give his spot to a player who gives a damn.

His International Pan American game play has been outstanding so far and Fran Fraschilla had this to say: @franfraschilla
If I am NBA team, I'm grabbing 7-5 Sim Bhullar now & developing him. Played well this week with Canada. Low risk gamble for Mark Eaton-type.

Plus he has been working on his weight and has been putting in the work if you have all been keeping up with his twitter and facebook accounts. He will make the league very soon and too mnay people are sleeping on him!

Watched him in Summer League for his brief appearance. Slow and immobile, gets pushed off his spot by smaller guys, has some skill around the basket but he still looked very overweight with no muscle tone. Just not seeing it.

Then you probably didn't watch many of the pan american games!!! One summer league game from this summer is very little to judge him from! Come October he will show people what he can do!!! You just don't give up on a guy who's 22! He's way better than most NBA reserve centers like Kendrick Perkins and can be used as a Ryan Hollins type player!!! Make sure you watch more of him before jumping to conclusions! He has been working his tail off and has a good attitude. He also has a high basketball IQ. He can hit the jumpshot and does what he's good at and doesn't do what he's not good at unlike some NBA centers "Javale McGee".
