The Kings are now ranked 10th, with the biggest jump in the rankings this week (up from 14th). They are now ahead of 4 teams with winning records.












Including the Lakers.

Generally speaking power rankings are based on who is playing better at the time of the ranking. Record is certainly a factor but the Kings are playing better than the Lakers at least for the moment.

If you notice, I actually referenced how many teams with a better record are ranked lower than us.

Power Rankings are just one person's opinion on who is hot right now. I think the Kings have one of the best records over the last 15 games or so in the league, and just won 4 of 5 on a road trip against decent teams.

Yes, the Lakers are playing well. I am more interested in how we are playing, though.

I'm going to say same thing I told Loopy yesterday. I seriously think the Kings in the West are among the top 4 right now, and will prove that when Garcia and Wells become 100%.

I like power rankings as they show how others view the Kings with respect to other teams. It's a relative thing anyway and subjective. It sparks conversation and opinions and that's what the media are supposed to do.

I agree. Rankings are usually fun to read, if for nothing else than because it's a roundup of all of the teams.
