Seriously. If we’re going to insist on losing in the play-in, JJJ is the perfect compliment to Sabonis. Plays defense. Hangs out on the perimeter throwing threes, doesn’t rebound but it doesn’t even matter because Sabonis rebounds everything anyways.

Whew. And if it doesn't work you might be on the hook paying a big 'ol max already after giving up the future. When the perfect fit is questionable you know the Kings ain't trading their way out of this mess more than likely, lol. Wow. That... strikes me as quite an overpay. The Magic must be looking at the Eastern Conference landscape and saying 50 wins can get you to the Finals, we need to play for right now. I can't imagine Desmond Bane alone helps them get over the hump, but I didn't necessarily imagine Pascal Siakam was going to help the Pacers get over the hump, either. It's anyone's conference, especially with Tatum's injury.

It was a nice courtesy to let players know they might be traded until they started blowing up deals and engineering their own trades. I'm sorry for Bane who re-signed with Memphis and probably wanted to be there but this is the logical fall out of all the player agency that goes on now.
