[NBA Cup] San Antonio Spurs vs. Oklahoma City Thunder, Cup Semifinal

We got the DHO merchant tho

I want to know how a ref calls that in real time you see him land 5 feet from where he shot and people wonder why scoring is so easy defenders know you can’t be within 3 feet of these guys
Where a shooter lands relative to where he originally began his shot doesn't matter. As a defender, you must give the shooter enough space to land. That is a foul no less than 80% of the time, if not higher.

How do you contest a shot then? Harper gave him plenty of space and even backed up SGA doesn’t shoot like that regularly look at Jason Timpf response he’s right SGA would’ve fell in an open gym it’s ridiculous let defenders defend

Come on man

Also how do you defend that and watch Dort and Caruso assault guys on the other end without being called for fouls

By controlling yourself enough so that you jump more vertically to defend a shot. As much as SGA jumped forward throughout his motion of the shot in discussion, you can't dismiss the fact that the defender also stepped into the shot in order to better defend.

So it'll be a Mike Brown coached team vs. De'Aaron Fox's new team in the NBA Cup Final? I approve of this outcome.
