Sam Smith "clock ticking on Artest meltdown"

I think that Ron has a passive aggressive personality. Even now he's trying to control when he's going to play, with his so called sore ankle and sore leg before every game.. HE decides whether he's going to play or not. Not the coach, or the trainer.

I'm sorry, but I just don't believe his crap. Its always one thing or another with Ron. Trade him to the laker's. Maybe a head coach who's used to dealing with head cases can control him.

Martin + Bibby + Artest are only contending for the coveted "Best Mediocre Go-Nowhere" team award. The team lacks an all-star quality candidate in the front court. Contenders have a dominant big. Even Jordan had Grant to work off of. There can be no contention without height preemption.

UGH!! That's alot of dead weight on your bench...like $17 million worth between the 2 of them! I dont think Ron would go for that anyway, that's why I think he's going to make good coming up for as long as he can until his value is up again, then Geoff can do something with him if he wants.

dont forget shareefs 5mil, closer to 22mil on bench.

I read somewhere that shareef will not retire...and thinks he still on contribute...

Haven’t the Kings learned anything about the other big three we had (Bibby, Brad and Peja)? Three’s don’t work, just ask Dallas. I know Geoff isn’t dumb and I’m sure he’s trying to get this team back on track, from what I’ve read both Bibby and Artest isn’t in the Kings future.

Yeah. I read that too (sac bee article). I hope Shareef can contribute on some other team.

I admire SAR for fighting to get back. I'd have him on my team anytime. He's not young but if he can walk and trot, he is better than Mikki and at about the same price. I don't understand the dis at all.

It’s not like I don’t have respect for the guy. He seems like a nice dude, hard working, a person that respects others and his teammates, but I don’t think he’s a right fit here. He seems to have slowed down a lot and I don’t think he’s going to fit in even if he makes a comeback. But he might fit on another team, so instead of eating up our money and a bench space (that can be used for another player), he can work in some other teams system and he might do well.

Personally I didn’t want Shareef on this team. He’s not a winner, no matter how good he is or was, he doesn’t have it and the look in his eyes has changed. Maybe if he gets back on court he’ll feel it once again. But I have my doubts.
