LOS ANGELES – That noise in Staples Center on Thursday night? I swear I heard cowbells. I swear I saw Kings fans. I swear the gods were collaborating, getting even.

GREAT article by Voisin. :)

...The turn of events was almost as dramatic and inexplicable as, well, that unforgettable night back in 2002. Only this time the Lakers took the brunt of the elbows, faltering miserably on their celebrated home court, and eventually, placing themselves one defeat from elimination.

"Some turnaround," said Phil Jackson afterward, speaking in an unusually soft voice. "The air went out of the building. (The Lakers' players are) very depressed about that. With the kind of momentum they carried into the locker room at halftime and having a 20-point lead in the third … it's very difficult right now."

Can't imagine Phil is receiving much sympathy in Sacramento...

While it might not be revenge, exactly, there is a certain sense of balance being restored to the universe. What goes around does indeed come around.
