Rubio injured his hip yesterday

In the press conference after the loss against Real Madrid (79-62), DKV Joventut Badalona coach Sito Alonso said that in playoff Game 2 on Monday he will not have Ricky Rubio, injured in the first half of the game.
The game is already decisive for DKV.
Sito said that Rubio suffered the injury on his hip and will have MRI soon. The head coach added that he is not worried because Badalona has already played months during the season without Rubio.
Real Madrid coach Joan Plaza is not sure on the absence of the rising star. "I will be sure when I will see him with civilian clothes".

He is 18 years old and weighs like 170lbs.....give him time to grow into his body. I will take him 60 games a year over Beno in 5 games.

Yea hopefully the injury isn't anything serious and his injury is because he's young and havn't grown into his body yet.

His finger and now his hip and and the Euro league season is also a lot shorter than the NBA season.

Actually it was his wrist, which doesn't really have anything to do with weakness of his frame. So a total two unrelated injuries (one we don't even know the severity of) makes it seem like he gets injured a lot? Come on, you're going to have to do better than that to rationalize that statement.

Related or not its still 2 injuries in a shorter Euro league season and the wrist injury sat him out about a month or so. Now I'm not sure how severe the hip injury is, but I'm hoping it won't lead to any chronic injuries especially if the Kings do draft him. I'm not saying he is definitely injury prone, but you can't help but have some doubts about it. The positive sign though, is that after the wrist injury he was still able to play through it and be effective at the same time. I guess I wouldn't worry too much about it if its a minor injury.

Injuries happen. You're acting like this is his first year of playing basketball. I don't know his medical history but if 2 recent injuries have you questioning his toughness then I'm guessing he hasn't been injured a whole lot

I'm not questioning his toughness. A kid playing with full grown men can take a beating at times. Sometimes you just can't help being injured no matter how tough you are. If anything Rubio is a real tough kid.

You have to stop this! Once again, I find myself just about ready to respond to something only to see you have already responded and ... gasp ... I find myself in full agreement with your post.
