Forgive me if I duplicating something that has already been posted, but Ron Artest said today, "No disrespect to San Antonio, but we believe we are the better team".
That made me smile more than I have since the 3:00 mark of the game last night. I am so proud of how our team has played this series. I am so glad Ron Artest was brought here, and I am so glad to hear that this team believes in itself again.
Are we really a better team than San Antonio? Overall, probably not, but hey, at game 4 in Sac, we were. Clearly, undeniably, for that night, we were the stronger team. If we can do it again on Friday, we will bring it, and a lot of confidence, back to San Antonio & play our hearts out there.
I don't know that we'll win this series, but I do know that this a team to be proud of. I have always loved the Kings, but it was a struggle to believe in the team at some points of this year when they clearly didn't believe in themselves. Suddenly, they have faith again, and a series that some predicted would be a sweep is turning into a true battle.
Thanks to Ron Artest for bringing the swagger back to the Kings. Thanks to Bonzi for getting healthy when we needed him most. Thanks to Bibby for carrying us through the hard times. Thanks to KMart for surprising us. And thanks to all of the 2005-6 Sacramento Kings for being a team that once again, is fun to watch!
