Ron Artest

Forgive me if I duplicating something that has already been posted, but Ron Artest said today, "No disrespect to San Antonio, but we believe we are the better team".

That made me smile more than I have since the 3:00 mark of the game last night. I am so proud of how our team has played this series. I am so glad Ron Artest was brought here, and I am so glad to hear that this team believes in itself again.

Are we really a better team than San Antonio? Overall, probably not, but hey, at game 4 in Sac, we were. Clearly, undeniably, for that night, we were the stronger team. If we can do it again on Friday, we will bring it, and a lot of confidence, back to San Antonio & play our hearts out there.

I don't know that we'll win this series, but I do know that this a team to be proud of. I have always loved the Kings, but it was a struggle to believe in the team at some points of this year when they clearly didn't believe in themselves. Suddenly, they have faith again, and a series that some predicted would be a sweep is turning into a true battle.

Thanks to Ron Artest for bringing the swagger back to the Kings. Thanks to Bonzi for getting healthy when we needed him most. Thanks to Bibby for carrying us through the hard times. Thanks to KMart for surprising us. And thanks to all of the 2005-6 Sacramento Kings for being a team that once again, is fun to watch!

I threw the Ron Artest Owner's Manual - written by Indiana Pacer fans - out the window.

I loved that quote too...

but then I re-read the Ron Artest Owner's Manual and just took it with a grain of salt.

people need to put that manual down. pacers fans are up in arms over peja stojakovic's mysterious knee injury, but they also still claim that ron artest is "uncoachable." i was visiting pacers digest the other day, and it seems like they'd just as soon hold onto the mental image of the ron artest that left indiana. right now, i see ron artest buying into adelman's coaching in every game i watch him play in. i see ron artest the attentive listener. i see ron artest the leader. i see ron artest the teammate. i see ron artest the winner. i see ron artest as pacers fans never thought they could see him. ron artest is no saint...but he's hardly "uncoachable." sure, he's got a penchant for moving outside of the offense, but that's because he wants to win so damn bad. the guy is proving to be incredibly reliable as a tone-setter and team leader. there are a lotta good qualities in ron artest on the court. he believes, and thats very important to this team. just look at how far that confidence--call it arrogance if you'd like--has taken this team already.

When we traded for Ron,i was'nt sure what to expect, hearing all the negitives, you just don't know.I told my wife, nothing we can do but wait and see, people respond different when put in a different enviroment.I think Ron is one of the best things to happen to the Kings.one interview after game 5,Ron said "WE didn't want this game" even though Bonzi and him played thier a**es off,he put himself in that group.Ron has great leadership skills,he never quits, and sometimes i think he's the only King that believes they can win the series. As for as all the negitives that were said at the time of the trade....well....his slate is clean with me and the only direction i'm looking at is forward....The man lives to Win....

GO KINGS...

So true. He showed leadership and smartness right there.

Ron Artest is good...he attacks good and has good 3pointers. I think he shouldnt shoot jumpers unless they are 3pointers. His 2pointers never seen to drop...Attack + 3pointers = Ron.

ron is a stud. you see him play through his pain? he said this is the playoffs, time to put on your hardhat and go to work men. i love his attitude.
