On page 102 has another picture of Ron and a little snippet about him. The first line says, “For a profile of Ron Artest in our premier issue, Max captured this portrait of the Kings star in the entryway to his home in Loomis. [. . .].”
Pages 127/129 There’s a question and answer interview, it’s interesting but a little short.
Here’s one of the questions.
Q: Are you reinvigorated playing in Sacramento?
A: I can’t wait for the day that I can play the way I want to play. I hope I can be in a situation where I don’t have to go out and average 18 points. I want to go out with a lot of hustle and average 12 points and nine or10 rebounds. It just seems like I have to go out there and score the ball just to show people that I have some skills. You also don’t get max money for hustling. I like to pass the ball and play defense, but that’s not going to get you maximum money. You have to score and do all this other stuff. I can be very effective that way, but I like to share. I like to share the limelight.
I’m not a selfish player by any means. I’ll sacrifice everything to win a ring. I couldn’t say that a couple years ago. I was a little selfish at times. But I’ve matured.
I keep telling Kevin Martin that he’s the best player on our team. He keeps telling me that I am. I tell him to go out there and average 24 points, and he gets his points and that’s cool. I just want to win. I could care less about the other stuff.
