Reports: Guns drawn in argument

Read the other day that Pollin changed the name in honor of Yitzhak Rabin who was assassinated (by gun) a couple years previous to the change. I guess the double meaning about DC gun violence also stands out.
It really bummed me out because the Clash had a great song called Washington Bullets, and of course they were oblivious about the basketball team, which made it even better. Then the MLS Clash changed their name to the Quakes and it made for a very sad Clash fan.

All the while they still have the much more politically correctly named football team in DC.

I really liked how Arenas said it was to play a joke. Yea, right. I really hope he gets banned for the rest of the season as well as Crittenton.

Oh, now I understand... :o

Yep, there's nothing funnier than pulling a gun out of your locker to play a joke on someone.

Boy, is my face red. How could I have misinterpreted this whole thing?

Yeah, Arenas is dumb but come on, everyone understands the seriousness of brandishing a gun. I don't buy that he was playing a "joke" at all, not that it makes it any less serious of an offense though. It's just an obvious lie IMO.

Hm, interesting. I'll have to look for an mp3. Never got into them beyond their 3-4 "radio approved" hits.

Don't know your tastes in music (and only 3 or 4 folks around here really share mine) but their 3-4 radio approved songs represent some of their most boring output. Washington Bullets is on Sandanista! which is probably their most adventurous album (originally filled 3 vinyls) and is widely considered hit or miss.
