The Kings and Nets agreed in principle on a trade sending Marcus Thornton to Brooklyn in exchange for Jason Terry and Reggie Evans, according to Yahoo's Adrian Wojnarowski. In 46 games with Sacramento this season Thornton averaged just 8.3 points per game while shooting 38% from the field. The 36-year old Terry has appeared in just 35 games for the Nets this year and is averaging a career-worst 4.5 points per game in a career-low 16.3 minutes per contest.
