Kings forward Andres Nocioni told the Spanish publication Ole that he has asked the team to trade him this offseason.

HoopsHype.com translated the piece from Spanish to English.

"I openly told the Kings that I wasn't going to stay," Nocioni told Ole. "They told me they were OK with it and that they were going to try to trade me to a competitive team, probably on draft day... I have to wait."

Nocioni was then asked about a potential trade to the Raptors. Toronto's Hedo Turkoglu is asking for a trade and has mentioned that we would welcome a trade to Sacramento.

"Toronto is not a bad option, but I don't want to talk about rumors," Nocioni said.

If anyone needs convincing that the current CBA needs to be reworked, Nocioni and the Kings is a great example. Here's a guy who wants out, a team that wants to get rid of him and nothing that can be done to make both parties happy.

I mean, I could see Nocioni being in a larger deal to make salaries work, but by himself, nobody is trading for him. And the NBA won't allow players to rework their contracts even if they want to. Ridiculous.

Well, Noc, I asked the Kings to trade you a long time ago. We're both patiently waiting for our requests to be met.

Umm... could this mean we are trying to move down a few spots? Send Noc's contract to somebody that really wants the #5? Not sure I like that idea. We are already out of or on the edge of the talent bubble with the 5th pick. I don't want to go any further back unless it nets us young player that we really need.

Not necessarily. The Kings could move up to #2 while taking on Elton Brand's massive contract and sending back Nocioni.

I'm not saying that's what's going to happen or even that I'd want it to, but it's just a fact that draft night is a big night for trades and the most likely point that Noc would be dealt, if at all this offseason.

Excuse me, there's just something I have to get off my chest.

Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha!

I think it's a piece of evidence of some sort- a big piece.
