Not if the Pats wanted him at 27. I'd be shocked if they weren't blowing smoke up everyone's butts, but Tebow himself thought he'd wind up in New England if Peter King is to be believed.

I don't know, I thought Devin McCourty was the guy all along, and if it had come down to him or Tebow, I have to believe that it would have been McCourty. I'll defer to you there, though. Even still, even if they hadn't taken Tebow at #25, I think they overpaid for the pick.

I'm just having a hard time seeing this as an on the field move and I'm seeing it as more of an off the field move.

Oh believe me I had no understanding of why BB was spending so much time with Tebow, sometimes I think he likes to blow up guys to get other teams to jump. But I don't think he'd do that to someone in his own tree that he has a good relationship with.
