Ramon Sessions

Supposedly Ramon Sessions is on the trading block because Kyrie Irving is coming around. Sessions is a better distributor than anyone on the Kings, averages 9pts and 5ast in 22 minutes per game, and makes $4.3 mil this year and $4.6 mil next year under a player option. Once in a while he gets 10 assists per game and knows how to play the pick and roll.

Apparently the Cavs want draft picks, I say we offer Donte + a second rounder for Sessions. He is not too expensive so the Maloofs could maybe afford him if he takes the player option.

I'd be inclined to do it. Donte is just doing almost nothing, and we need more ballhandling. Waiting for the draft to pick up a point guard is waiting for something that may or may not happen and then even if it does happen it could take two or three years for the kid to develop.

I'm not so sure the Cavs go for Donte/2nd. If they are up for trading him, they could probably get a tad more from some other teams. As for Sessions coming here, I love the guy but I'm not sure he fits into our team right now with Evans/Jimmer/Thornton backcourt.

I don't want to give up 6'11" Donte just yet. We can't keep getting smaller as a team. Sessions, however, might have been a good pickup instead of Salmons, but, oh well...
