what was said ? thx ...
Well, one of the things that I heard that really caught my attention was Jenny Boucek and her Coaching Psychology 101. That stuff is OK when you are winning, but I found myself rolling my eyes  listening to that when you are 1-8. The whole being "in the moment", positive mental approach was very nausiating. The whole "we are just now seeing our true team, and we can build from here".....The whole "just now concentrating on our offense, because our defense is just getting to where it needs to be" stuff does not fly.

This team in my opinion needs a nice dose of "John Whisnant, let me kick your arse out of practice if you don't do what I say" to get them going "IF" they want to compete and make the post season.

I really enjoyed the calls last night (MBF, RDub21, Purple Reign, and if there is somebody I missed because I don't know your real name). And everybody pretty much said the same thing, that this thing may not turn around until the team returns home next week to play 4 out of next 6 out home (which includes 2 games vs Seattle, 2 vs Phoenix, Chicago and Detroit). If they can't win a bulk of those games, this season is over as far as the post season.

I haven't tuned in to Monarchs talk this season until last night, sounded kind of slow with callers. So that mixed with them giving me "props" on my #1 position in our pick one league led me to call in :p.

NothingButHoops called in during the 2nd hour too.

I'm working on something right now but wanted to chime in to agree with what you pointed out...but also take a different perspective on it as well.

The other thing I'll chime in on later is about what was said by the guests...including the Lynx asst. coach. There was a very interesting contrast between something both Boucek and Walker said when asked about the rotations. I was trying not to read too much into how Walker answered the question....until Boucek answered the way she did.

EDIT: The show is VERY slow without callers, 2hrs is a looooooong time to fill without interaction. Beyond that, callers show that the WNBA matters to people and makes it harder for others (read Grant and Carmichael Dave) to get away with saying that it doesn't. Also shows the sponsors that people actually do more than come to the games. Don't know how many people noticed, but the pre-game show was whacked a game into this season too.

i actually really like the "in the moment" thing ... but the moment was now for the offense and the defense on the first moment of the season ... what did we wait for "now" on offense to be 9 games in to the season ... ???

do you mean kick whiz's arse out of practice, or whiz should kick somebody else's arse out of practice? ... kinda confused ... ; )

as far as the turn around, now is the time ... not later ...

any word on the lack of PT for courtney? ... hello, now !!!
