Rule are simple get a random roster and trade to make the best possible team while staying under the salary cap. Go head to head with other teams while the rest of the league votes.

On a whim I decided to give this thing a whirl a couple of weeks back for its "Season 6", and it turned out to be quite the amusing NBA time waster. My team (76ers) won the Eastern Conference Finals and advanced all the way to the Finals, where its currently getting its butt handed to it by the Rockets, who put together a Duncan/Bynum frontline that everyone I think loves maybe a bit too much. Regardless, it was fun building it. The whole thing is run by KFs own Caminochaos as a separate board.

How it works:

Every player in the league is given a $$ figure between $1 and $20 roughly equivalent to their value. A superstar like Duncan is a $20 player. A scrub like Ronnie Price is a $1 player. Every team is given a total salary cap of $50 to put together the best 10 man team you can. Everyone is given a random opening roster of players, and then one week to make as many trades as you want to construct the team that you want (there are matching trade value rules, so the $$ figures involved in a trade have to be close), as long as the final 10 player roster is $50 or less.

6) Nene, Zaza Pachulia, Flip Murray --> Stephen Jackson, Mikael Gelebale, Paul Davis
7) Sasha Pavlovic, Jannero Pargo, Amir Johnson, Paul Davis --> Brent Barry, Jared Jeffries


After the teams are constructed, the teams are matched up in a playoff, where each round the winners are voted upon by the various owners. Build a good enough looking team, win a title. The entire Season takes less than two weeks (one week of trading/team building, then about a week of playoffs), and then its on to a new one.
