I'm on vacation this week, and I totally forgot about today's game against the Seattle Storm! I had a lot of things to do earlier in the morning, and by the time I realized the M's had a game at 12 noon --- I guess because the WNBA selects one or two weeks in July for weekday games so the whole family can enjoy --- it was far too late to post my predictions. :(

Oh, well, after taking a look at the final box score for today's game, I don't think I would've fared very well anyway. I never would've predicted Becky to lead the team in scoring (15 points off the bench) or Haynie getting six assists. (I would have predicted Ticha with five assists).

But there's a bright side: At least the Monarchs won on the road, and against a Western Conference rival, so that's a plus! Also, the Houston Comets lost to San Antonio tonight, so we're slowly pulling away from them in the standings. :)

Too bad the Sparks beat the NY Liberty, though.

Anyway, it's back to the drawing board for me and I'll be at Arco this Thursday for the Liberty, come Hell or high water. (Well, considering how FREAKING HOT it's been lately, Hell is the more likely possibility!) :)
