--All-Star update: DeMarcus Cousins comes up huge in shocking wins over the Lakers and Hornets. Alas, it's Tyreke Evans who's peripherally being considered as an All-Star. They're both out.

--Don't look now, but here come the Kings. And DeMarcus Cousins. And a team that's currently as dangerous as some thought it might be at the start of this season. The Kings still are miles from contention, but Cousins has been on an absolute tear and Tyreke Evans is playing like himself, too. Worth watching going forward.

--Last week was easily the Kings' best of the season, with wins over three West playoff teams. Tyreke Evans (26 points, six rebounds and six assists) was the catalyst in Portland, and DeMarcus Cousins (52 points, 22 rebounds, nine assists) carried the load against the Lakers and Hornets.

--Team of the Week? There's no other choice after the Kings' Cousins-powered weekend wins over the Lakers and Hornets. A rook hadn't rumbled for 27 points and 10 rebounds on L.A.'s floor since Christian Laettner ... in March 1993.
