So i heard gilbert arenas, ben gordon and corey maggette and even maybe elton brand may be free agents. Does anyone think the kings can pickup any of these players or know about any other players that may become available.

I don’t think Ben Gordon might opt out but I would love to sign him or trade for him. As far as Gilbert Arenas, I think he might stay with the Wizards, unless we sign him with a huuuuge contract. I don’t want Corey even though he’s a good player.

no cap space amigo. if we did, why would we spend it this offseason. we need to lay low and grab a few high draft picks then use the cap space to pull in 2 really good free agents. with that plan, we'll be back in the mix.

So ive heard some of the names for the summer of 2010, where I guess the NBA is basically going to have a fantasy draft with the names that could be moving but does anyone have a link to or list of the free agents for that year? I agree we need to lay low and NOT sign...mikki moore, john salmons, shareef, type players.....waste of money when trying to rebuild/save money for the summer of 2010

and

have lists. Briefly, LeBron, Kobe, Wade, and Bosh have player options that year and may be in the pool. There will be a lot of unrestricted free agents, but it's hard to say which will be good bets to sign to long term deals two years out. For instance, are you going to want to give a long-term deal to Nash or Jermaine in 2010? The '06 draft class (Bargnani, Aldridge, Ty. Thomas, Brandon Roy, Rudy Gay, etc.) will be restricted free agents that year if not signed to extensions.

The only way we can get a major player is through sign and trade, which is unlikely but not 100% impossible given a little bit of shakiness in the Gordon and Arenas relationships with their teams.

And I am fundamentally uninterested in any lower level MLE player. Enough of that garbage. Unless we can magically get a stud, we need to clear the room so we can do so in a couple of years.

Why would we want Ben Gordon when we have Kevin? None of them can play the point nor forward. So to sign Ben would basically be spending big money to have another 6th man alongside Garcia and Salmons.... Doesn't make a lot of sense to me...

Besides, like Brick and everyone else said, we don't have the cap space for anything major after we spend, what, 5 mil on Moore....

We'll have to use part or maybe all of the MLE to bring Beno back so that most likely won't be used on anyone else.

I would think not Gordon.

Arenas is on the far outside of interesting super-longshot, but for a variety of reasons even worrying about it happening is probably foolish.
