Positivity

I think I probably invented the word in the subject line....but are there any other fans out there who are sick of the negativity and whining after just 30 games of bad basketball? Is there anyone out there who will stick with our team through thick and thin? Is there anyone else out there who can remember cheering through the wayman tisdale/dwayne causwell era? Anyone else out there whih is tired of the self-pity from the fair weather fans?

Let's stick behind our team! Go Kings!!!!

Self-pity from fair weather fans?

For someone who wants positivity you have a lot of negative comments in your post.

People react differently. I'm in the middle of starting a thread right now you're not gonna like...

That's your choice man. As for me and my house, I choose to support my team!

i think alot of us support and watch this team, we complain but we have a right to, we also get excited when they win (except against the rockets :p ) but for the most part we just get frustrated..but if u notice, most of us still watch the games, so i call that staying behind our team

if VF21 or neone else for that matter points out negative points for our kings does not mean they are not supporting the team. brionging out negative points actually enforces that you actually support the team more because you are taking notice of their problems meaning that you care about the team even more. but yeah people do have a different way of handling things no matter how bad or good the kings are. but im saying that noting negative things about our team such as our weaknesses and how they are not as good as past kings team doesnt mean you are not supporting them.

Yeah, complaining about problems (that are clear and definate), and abandoning your team are two different things. For us to sit around the campfire and sing "kumbaya" while our team flounders into the lottery is just wrong. Then to be called fairweather, like has been done on several occasions, even by a Kings player! Thats like saying eat crap and like it.

We'll always support our guys, as well evidenced throughout the years, even when they are long gone from the team, but at least I won't accept to sit by and not express my feelings about a team I and we do support. Support? I guess we could say nothing. But that would also mean we don't care.

I consider myself one of the more "pollyannish" fans. I, too, prefer to stay positve and look at the good - even when near impossible to do so. Honestly though, I have a STRONG realist streak in me. The fact of the matter is, our team is NOT good right now. Admitting that is not being a fair weather fan. It is being honest.

I, along with many others on this board, have been fans for a long time. We remember when a 30 win season would have been a successful year. Now, a 30 win season is no longer acceptable. We expect more because we have tasted more. Expecting to be a good team and being disappointed when we are not does not mean our level of "fanhood" is low.

I choose to not bash specific players. However, I cannot deny the evidence that certain players are not living up to their expectations. I have no problem when that is pointed out. I do not say "WE MUST GET RID OF PLAYER X," but I will openly question if we would be better without him.

I DETEST booing our team. I would never do it. But I would not judge another fan's commitment to the team if he / she does.

Every fan reacts differently when their favorite team struggles. Most of us are heavily invested in this team with money, time, and emotion. I PREFER TO STAY POSITVE AND HOPEFUL THAT WE WILL BE BETTER SOON. I choose to support each player as long as he is wearing a King's jersey. I also, from time to time, must look at the cold hard facts. We are not good. When I do, I get mad, sad, or frustrated with how we got in this mess. We will all react differently. Just be careful not to judge another's commitment based on how they react.
