About time. Popovich is single best head coach in NBA, IMO - not just this year but virtually every season with Spurs. You watch his teams play and it's truely amazing - very different from every other typical run of the mill NBA squad. Highly disiplined on defense, highly disiplined on offense - execution, execution, execution. No jacking up outside shots right and left like so typical of todays fall in love with endless 3s nonsense - well, unless your name is Ray Allen or Peja. Extremely well deserved honor for Coach Pop.

Totally agree. It's amazing what he can do with the bench production and getting so much from players not thought of very highly.
