The new Kings arena is likely happening somewhere before Cubs winning a World Series and a little after they let Pete Rose into the Baseball Hall of Fame.
If anything, the Arena will come after the Kings win a championship (in 2012, when the Olympic Committee decides to have Sacramento as the host of the 2020 Olympic Games and Maloofs have long sold the Kings to Grammy Winner Wayman Tisdale).
The new arena will have all of the parking (20,000 spaces) underground, with a parking structure (10 stories deep) that has 20 outlets to an Subterranean Interstate 5 (Think Boston's Big Dig) as well as a separate bypass that reaches the surface around Arden Fair Mall and a little bit outside of Davis.
Oh and Sacramento will already have an NFL team in 2016 (Circa 2008) with their stadium coming on Cache Creek money and built somewhere in West Sacramento. They will have also hosted the Super Bowl in 2017 with the Sacramento team winning. Sac State will also play UC Davis in the new NCAA College Football Playoff National Championship game also hosted by Sacramento.
These will be good times guys.
