i suspect the front office is requiring the coach to play Sessions. Can we get #PlayRay trending?

It's becoming clear one of the big things people criticized Malone for wasn't his doing, isn't it? Let's see what happens against a non small ball team, but it sure looks like Ray isn't in the front office's plans, and Ramon definitely is.

We are about to find out where most of these terrible decisions have been coming from I'm afraid.

I thought there was a sound bite during the PDA interviews or before that talking about Sessions and PDA basically said that they don't need to replace Sessions....not those words but to that point. Not playing Sessions in the Detroit game and the previous Malone soundbite about analytics being BS and the fact that if you ignore the Josh Smith turnovers, Smith filled the stat sheet. It all came to a head.

Sessions is PDA's signing and it just looks like everything got into a pissing match about who to play. The story about PDA and Mullin coming to Vegas to meet with Vivek and fire Malone, I think it's complete made up BS. The reason why is they are back pedaling and making crap up as they go to make their decision look better or having a reason. I think egos got involved and Vivek chose his buddy Mullin and his GM over Malone. They really ****ed this up.

Coming back to Ray, if you gave the kid the same minutes as Sessions has had all year, the kid would be performing better than Sessions has played......and I like the signing initially but have been surprised at how bad Sessions has played. Makes sense that Sessions has moved around so much...can you say journeyman?

Don't expect Sessions to get bumped for Ray...I've come to that conclusion.

Is Sessions faster? That's all they (the Powers at Be) seem to care about who can dribble the basketball faster from one end to the other on a fast break. Sessions can probably do it 1/4 second faster then Ray.

Granted if you had Sessions do it 5 times, 3 times he'd dribble the ball off his knee or throw it out of bounds, one time he'd throw up a wild shot against all the defenders that would be lucky to hit the rim. The 5th time he'd trip over a defenders foot while running head on into another defender and throw up a shot over his head backwards as he is falling down. That shot would go in and that's why he's playing.....

I think Sessions plays some minutes to keep his trade value up... He is eligible to be traded on Monday, the 22nd. If they aren't moving him, play Ray!

Probably a stretch (a pretty long one, too!), but remember how I said Popovich & Duncan == Malone & Cousins? Maybe... McCallum == Parker? But that would require McCallum to more aggressively use screens and drive to the hoop more often than he does right now. He needs to pass to people on the wing less often when he is also on the perimeter.

He's a shot creator... just putting that in here for no reason.

Ray isn't all that good..yet. He hasn't shown much to me. Inconsistent offense, ok defense, not a playmaker, and nice bball iq.

I'd rather Sessions play vs Ray. I'm still not sold on the fact that Ray is some type of elite defender. I think he's better than Sessions though. BUT I don't think he's nearly as the offensive player as Sessions is. I'm not just talking about scoring. Overall offensive players. Sessions can have a terrible stat like 1-4 but 4asts. Sessions has started to look much much better as of late.

I think his problem is that he plays with a 2nd unit that can't shoot 3s. Of course there is Nik, but I swear that guy always stands at one corner and watches.. Sessions always tries to attack the rim looking to kick it out, just to find Nik all the way on the otherside.. then he takes a terrible shot.

I reject your points.....because Sessions has cost this team dearly in many, many games. He has been bad.

Here's the thing, if Sessions is going to be bad, Ray can't possibly be worse, so play the younger guy. And Ray is better defensively than Ramon....that part is not even arguable

Sessions has not single handily cost the teams any games.... But why play the younger guy who isn't better yet? I'm not opposed to playing Ray, but honestly, he's not that far off of Sessions...

Ray CAN play worse and has in the limited opportunities he's gotten this season. It's not like Ray's come in and torn it up when he does get into the game where this is even an issue.

I'd bank on Sessions rebounding than Ray becoming an established NBA player this season.

Which Sessions are you watching? The guy that can't run an offense here? Be serious.

The front office will continue to make sure Sessions is a key part of the team.

Some facts, and draw your own conclusions.

Last game with Malone: Ramon DNP-CD, Ray McCallum-17 minutes

Since then, Ray-0 minutes, Ramon-48 minutes, leading the bench in total minutes in the 2 games since Malone was fired.

Talk to the front office if you have a problem with it.

Yeah, I've already mentioned that in other threads about the FO belief in Sessions. Doesn't make him a better option.

I don't get those of you who continue to say that Ray is not very good. He's simply inconsistent, which is common among first and second year players. But he's often very good. Something Sessions is not. And watching Sessions play d is like watching Mike Bibby play d. It's maddening how some players can be so poor at staying in front of their man! Sometimes the problem is lack of speed, or lack of lateral quickness. But sometimes these players just don't make the effort.

As I said before, if you gave Ray the same amount of minutes and games this year as Sessions has gotten, he would have at a minimum the same numbers as Sessions because Sessions has set the bar so low with his play that it is mind boggling how bad he has been. He has trouble with entry passes. If he is pressured he has demonstrated handles barely better than Jimmer. He does get to the line and does that well. But for ****s sake, his stretch of play in the Bucks game was just atrocious. I'm positive that you can count on one hand the number of games he's been a positive influence on the game. And if we get to his defensive ability, lets just say he's worse than IT.

But it doesn't matter cause that is PDA's guy and he's going to play.

Ray can check his man. That is incredibly valuable when compared to letting the other teams guards go just where they want to. When the Bucks had their little depleted team on the floor two nights ago running rough shod over the Kings jacking up threes with no one on them where was Ray? Ray, one of the Kings best perimeter defenders sat on the bench the whole game!!!

Jason Kidd managed to go 9 deep with 10 available players. Corbin played 7 guys double digit minutes. 2 others played 8 and 9 minutes respectively. Part of this was because the Kings bench was getting killed defensively!!!

As I said Ray is one of the better defenders on the Kings. And where was Ray??? Sitting on the freaking bench!!!
