Pistons vs. Lakers

Pistons lead the Lakers by 10 with a minute left, although Lakers have made a nice push in the 4th (and Bryant just drained a triple to cut the lead to 7 with 30 seconds left).

Interesting stat line of the game (imho): Sheed with 24 points on 9 of 21 shooting with 8 boards and 5 assists. That's not that interesting, right? Agreed. But for some reason Sheed shot 11 threes, making 2 of them. Basically, he was 7 of 10 from inside the arc, and 2 of 11 outside the arc. Could've probably had 36 or so if he'd taken more shots inside the arc.

Pistons win by the way. 37-5 on the season. Can they tie the Bulls 72 win record for a season? Thoughts?

They don't seem to be able to lose. What other team could absorb a 2-for-11-from-behind-the-arc frolic from one of their best players and still win? It looks possible now. Only one losing streak dashes any hope of it, though.

Since they are not Kings, I hate them and wish them no more records and goodies (i.e. rings), but I have to give them this: They are a great _team_. Considering that they don't have a single player that is Pippen good, let alone MJ good and they still have a legit shot at 72 wins... wow!

I can't really relate, as I am a fan of the NBA as a whole, but look at it this way as a fellow KingsFan:
They beat LA. And not just the Clippers, the Lakers.

That is always a good thing ;)

The reason was that he was being guarded by Odom, therefore, Sheed could've shot nothing but half courters and the Pistons still would've won.
