AP - The Pistons signed second-round draft pick Will Blalock to a multiyear contract on Monday.

"We are pleased," said Joe Dumars, the Pistons' president of basketball operations. "Will had a good showing at the Vegas summer league and we are excited about his potential and ability to give us depth at the point guard position."

The Pistons selected Blalock out of Iowa State with the 60th and final pick of last month's NBA draft.

Happy for this guy, I think he's a steal at 60... as he should of gone a bunch higher in the draft, but the explosion of European players in the 2nd round stunted guys like Blalock down. Should be a solid PG at least.
