Paypal advice

If anyone has any thoughts/advices please let me know.

My brother sold a guitar and person paid with paypal. He got a confirmation that transaction was complete. He went ahead and priority mailed it yesterday afternoon. This morning he got an email from paypal that he was possibly a receipient of unauthorized funds and that they are holding the amount.

It will take them up to 5 business days (maybe more) to investigate the problem. He sent them all the buyers info (phone, address, email, name, etc.). He should try to stop the delivery by calling the buyers post office and have it sent back.

Has anyone else here been in same/similar situtation? He'll try to contact the buyer himself and resolve it, but who know what will happen.

If anyone has any advice please chime in.

it is in the news that paypal's system has been suffering widespread failures the last couple of days.

This may be related to that.
