no i think they gave us the benifit of knowing is sucks to start out the season on the road for so many games i dont think we ever got lower than 25? the East was terrible as always last year.

its crazy seeing to teams from the west at 30 and 29!

It's been that way for a while, actually. For the past few years, most of the top teams have been from the West (save for a few exceptions in the east). Then you have a slew of mediocre Eastern conference teams (some that make the playoffs) that are bad enough not to do any damage, but good enough not to get the top talent in the draft.

It's one of the reasons for the big East/West disparity.

Hah, I know right?

And it figures the year we'll probably be in position for a top 3 pick there is no projected franchise face level talent out there.

Luck of the Kings

I was thinking that myself the other day -- its like the Pervis Ellison year all over again.

But you know what? Sometimes you make your own luck. there were teams intentionally targetting their rebuilds to match up with years with megastars up top. We chose to fight for our precious #8 seeds. And since we did not plan, we just got bad whenever we got bad, and as luck would have it, there is no Shaq, Dwight or LeBron at that pick. That can happen when you do not plan your descent the same way you plan your rise.

But you know, I dont see us getting better next year...So hey, maybe we'll grab our superstar in the '10 draft :p

Plus if Rubio declares and we have a shot...I wont complain. Especially not with the sloppy play of 'I got my payday' Beno

Not a big fan of the soft stuff; I prefer my power rankings to be a little firmer.

Not sure about that. Chances are yes, but depending on the moves we make, and the development of kids, we might get in the region of "competing for the eighth seed next year". Not that, that shall necessarily be a nice thing. Just that, our chances of getting a top pick are much higher this season.

I wont deny that...But still, unless Hawes or JT turns into an allstar next season I dont think we'll be doing THAT much better.

Ya I was thinking that earlier today also. We could have guessed that the year we suck BAD n have a high draft pick there is no franchise cornerstone in the draft. I know its early but its true. We shouldnt be surprised though cuz thats just our luck....damn...
