I always look forward to watching the Oscars and checking out what all the stars are wearing and what big stars show up etc. Well, this year I thought it was sooooo boring. My favorite shot of the night was when the camera panned out over the audience and some man who I could not identify had his head
thrown back and was asleep. Ha Ha.. that pic said it all in my opinion.

Also, I think Chris Rock is funny but I thought he pretty much bombed tonight.

i never watch the TV or movie award shows...i only watch the music award shows...im perfectly content on hearing the interesting story lines on Access Hollywood/Extra/ET the next day and watchin Joan/Melissa Rivers recap of the fashion....days later when it comes to the TV and movie awards

maybe thats what you should do next time IKF

as for Chris Rock...i knew it wasn't gonna be a great environment for him to host...he prolly was so limited...Chris Rock is a pretty raw comedian...he's gotta have a lot of "room" so to speak to do his thing...and there is no way that whatever network broadcasted the Oscars was gonna give him that much room...unfortunetly...cuz Chris Rock is the funniest man in America

Wow...Jamie Foxx won for Best Actor!! Congrats to him!! And he was also nominated for Best Supporting Actor in COLLATERAL!

i missed the show ( drving home) but i am *SO* happy that morgan freeman and cate blachett won oscars. they are amazing actors who finally got their due.

i didn't see any of the movies, so i wasn't bummed i missed it. chris rock would have been funny, but sounds like he sucked.

Chris Rock didn't suck, he was just muted. Why bring fire and brimstone upon yourself? I know he can be a lot funnier, but he did ok tonight. He didn't top Steve Martin (still my fave) or Billy Crystal, but I think he's earned a spot in the hosting rotation.

As for Chris Rock, yes it's true he was not as funny as he normally is but I think he toned it down for the Oscars.
