Opening Weekend Gathering(s)

#1
Not sure if there will be an official MSE get together to open the season on Saturday and since the Monarchs also have a televised game on Sunday against the Lynx.

Anybody interested in getting together either day?

In response to NBH's question:
The Shock game is on tv as well right?
The Monarchs-Shock game is on ABC-TV, starting at 12:30 p.m. In Sacramento, it's on Channel 10.

FWIW, the Monarchs' home opener against the L.A. Sparks (Saturday, June 2) is also on Channel 10, starting at 7:00 p.m.

hi everyone! i know i haven't posted in a while, but i always lurk & keep up with this board. this isn't exactly about the subject, but i didn't know where else to put it & i didn't think it was worth its own thread. it is, however, about opening weekend. i have scored a courtside seat to the Monarchs/Shock game in detroit on saturday. a friend had an extra ticket--so i am really excited. i try to get up there at once a season to see Haynie play. don't know if it is on the basket end or more along the sidelines. the point is, i will try to write a good objective report & let you all know how it was at the game, even though it is on abc? tv. i will be the female, short, 40's, in a Kristin Haynie jersey (old unis). so look for me. if anyone else is fortunate enough to go, let me know & maybe we can hook up.:)

Is the Sunday game going to be against the Minny Lynx? What time does that start? I didn't know that was going to be on TV, or could Hangar17 somehow get their regional broadcast?

Lemme check the Minny Lynx website and message boards.

On Sunday's game

OK. I just found out that the Sunday game against the Lynx will be on NBA-TV and also on the regional Minnesota-area Fox Sports Net channel. I presume Hangar17 can receive either one of those channels?

That's the presumption or else we won't be gathering @ Hangar on Sunday, which is why I left the location open ended. When I made the reservation for Saturday the person I spoke to wasn't definitely sure if they had NBTV, so I have a plan B & C location in mind.

Just to update....Hangar17 does not get the NBATV channel. So, no plans to convene there today. Didn't get a chance to do additional research for a place that does have the channel like I had hoped...so how about we make plans to meet up for games (unless MSE arranges something) on CSN or NBATV in the future....

Sounds like a plan MBF...I'll try & check around my digs for some future places.
I'm sure Center Court shows the games, if we can can get more fans, maybe we can snag that back room & crank up the volume.
Have a fab. Sunday & go Monarchs!
