Open Practice?

Does anyone know if or when the Monarchs will have an open practice this year? In years past, it was usually around 10+ days after camp opened...

I am in desperate need of a Monarch fix!!!

Tell ya what. MBF and I are going to cover Media Day today, so we'll ask. I DO know that they're having the annual Meet the Monarchs at Arden Fair Mall on May 31st.

I know I have been invited to a Memorial Day practice from 12-1 in the practice facility along with some other Monarchs MVP. I don't know if that is considered an Open Practice or not.

Those practices fans were invited to and will be attending @ the practice facility are considered an open practice. If you are going, you'll see more and something much more real than you would watching the canned things they have typically done.

EDIT: Since I just am now reading this, I'll add that what I posted above is based on conversations I had with sales staff a while ago. The media relations staff aren't the ones setting these up. You may want to ask your ST rep if they will be having more of these throughout the season if you weren't able to make it. If about the Meet the Monarchs event should be coming out soon as well.

The latest word I got was this.

Open Practices are for STH and will be made available through your Rep. The Practices will be held at the Practice Facility, and because of the venue, will have limited seating.

At this time, there's no plan for a general Open Practice, like the Kings did with Reggie. (maybe that's a good omen)

So, give your ST Rep a call for the latest.

Oh yeah, and I was told that this year's Meet the Monarchs event at Arden Fair was going to be really different from the ones in the past. When I asked what MS&E was planning to do - I was met with a grin and silence.

The date for Meet the Monarchs is Sunday 5/31, that much I know is set for sure.

For some reason I have it as starting as 11am...I'm not sure if that's the correct time, or just the time I used to block it on my calendar. In any event, notice of the exact details should be coming out soon.
