Offseason Primer: Sacramento Kings (Hoopsworld)

they make a semi good point about trading bonzi when his stock is high, marion has a better shot, and hes more consistent from three, but neither are know for their great shooting abilities.

So if you have someone who is playing at the top of his game you should trade him away?

Bonzi is a free agent. Based on what the Maloofs have said time and time again, they want to keep him. The "writers" who prepared that little primer don't seem to have their facts straight. If they don't even know when the Kings draft, then I have to suspect pretty much anything they say.

Before this season, people said Bonzi would NEVER work out in Sacramento, that he was always going to be a cancer, etc. Well, he proved them wrong and I think he'll continue to do so. He loves being a King and I strongly believe he'll be in our uniform come November.

It was a contract year for Wells, and a new contract could have been extra incentive to play harder. Some players have done that, received a new contract, then stopped playing as good. This might not be situation for Wells, but you never know.

Bonzi is a GOOD player, not Jerome James. I strongly suspect he'll continue to play at a premium level, if only because he's having a lot of fun. Artest brings out the best in Bonzi Wells and the Arco crowd chanting his name is somthing I'm sure he'd love to hear again. It's not always just about the money.

Agreed. Bonzi likes it here and I like his play. Just cut down on some of the turnovers, will ya? :)
