Thought it would be a good time to make this thread. Who will get the book? I am in the UK so I will get he UK version. Anyone know what is the difference from the US version and the UK version of the upcoming book?

I'll be getting it for my son. I've yet to read them. Maybe after we move. It'd be interesting to know if there are any differences between the two versions.

I have them all. I have read them all. I am looking forward to #6 with great anticipation.

I have not yet purchased it, but hope to soon. Anyone know where the cheapest place to purchase it might be? Since I am only working part-time, I am pinching pennies.

6th - My guess would be Sam's Club. You might want to do some comparison shopping online...

We were at the roseville B&N store...my daughter won a prize in the best outfit contest. She was on Q58 and KRCA news.

Hmmm! I am not currently a member of either Sam's Club or Costco. I have been checking online, but the shipping cost is prohibitive. I have been watching for free shipping deals, but nothing, so far. Maybe I can get someone to pick one up for me at a membership club.

Way cool, Iggy. Congrats to your daughter!

6th - I did a little checking. The Sam's Club price for the book is $15.72. The Wal-Mart price for the book is ... $15.72. I didn't find anything cheaper.

I just might have to go to Wal-Mart today. Thanks, VF!!

6th--if you ever need to go to Costco or Sam's let me know...and that is the best price you're going to get it for. and we bought 2 copies yesterday. one for my son and one for my fiance.

We picked up the books Saturday. I was bored so I read this book first..I dont like the end, but it was a very good read.

I finally got my book and had time to read about 185 pages. I have to work every day this week, so it may take me all week to read this. We shall see.

i just bought the book today at costco for 15.99

i'm about 70 pages into it.

speaking of that.... i think it's time to go read again :D

I had my hubby pick up the book for me on Sunday and thanks to having the stomach flu and having to be in bed I finished it on Monday...Really great read...one of very few books to actually make me cry and I cannot wait for the final book...I guess now I have to go back and reread all the other books while I'm waiting. I hope everyone enjoys it as much as I did!

!!!!!!! yikes! i cried at the end of order of the phoenix, ooooo now i have to hurry up and finish this one to see what made you cry!!!

the 7th book is going to be so off the hook. they've been setting it up, we all know what's going to happen. i just can't wait to see how :D

Even if you cried at the end of OotP, you are going to really cry at the end of this book. All in all a great book and I can't wait to start discussing it with people.

J. K. Rowling is such a fantastic author. Her imagination spawned a story that has millions of people worldwide clamoring for the next issue. She went from a single mother (getting government assistance) to the 2nd richest woman in England. Only Queen Elizabeth has amassed a greater fortune. And the Queen has had a lot longer and inheritance from previous Kings/Queens to help her. ;)

p.s. I'm about 1/2 way through the book.

My suggestion is to start a "WARNING: Harry Potter SPOILER thread"... Then as those of you who finish it want to talk about it, you'd have a place to go that would obviously not be for those who haven't read it yet.

Forgot to say congrats to your daughter! Did you get a pictureof her?

VF I figured if I were to discuss it with people I would do so on a HP forum. That way those that have not read it won't be tempted. ;)

I think you'll find there are a number of people here who are going to be VERY anxious to talk about it.

Hey, this is your one-stop 24/7 message board.

:D

Oh yes, I am definetly one of those people who cannot wait to start discussing the book! All of the books are good, but I feel a more emotional connection with the latest books because we're watching Harry and his friends grow into young adults, and it reminds me what a confusing time that really can be. Anyway, I hope you're all enjoying reading it...makes me wish it had been a few hundred pages longer!
