Offense w/out Brad, Vlade or Webb

Superman

Just a few questions that popped in my head while I was watching the game yesterday:
Are we running a more traditional motion offense now that we don't have any bigs that pass well enough to trigger anything reliable on offense?

Is Bibby going to really have to average 10+ assists a game in order for us to hold on to fourth spot in the West?

Will Cuttino Mobley be able to provide us with enough individual offense to keep us afloat when the offense breaks down against tough defensive teams like San Antonio and Detroit?

Will Peja finally step up and be a reliable scorer for us? Or will he continue to back off and let teams dictate what he's able to do?

Feel free to comment or add anything else to this short list of offensive concerns, now that we're without any of the big men that we've been used to having on the team for the entire Rick Adelman/Pete Carroll era in Sacramento.

Bibby will be the driving force, but I doubt we'll suddenly become the Suns and he'll average 10 assists. We have no Staudemire or Marion on our team. We're also trying to hold on to the 5th seed.

Mobley being our offensive catalyst? Doubtful. The Cat ain't Bobby Jackson. If Cat can recognize open shots and pass the ball maybe. As I see it, Cat looks for his shot, even if they are horrible decisions. Cat has skills but he's not an offensive juggernaut.

Peja is a guy who relies on good screens and picks to be effective. Who knows? My gut says he won't be able to do much unless he grows a pair, which I highly doubt. He's become very one dimensional as a player.

This is a team that will really heavily on hustle and reads. We no longer have a high post presense that will look for open cutters. We're more of a one on one team with some good athletes. Also, we have no inside presense, sans 6'9 Skinner, to counter teams that thrive in the paint. Looks like Tag is in the doghouse (conditioning, freethrows..etc).

At this point, we should look forward to making the playoffs, but not be disappointed if we get bounced in the first round.

Honestly, right now the team is mediocre at best. We have no true center and not a true point guard to back up Mike. This team has heart, but not the talent to go past the first round now. If they do, bravo! I just don't see it.

Maybe we can take some stalk that the T-Wolves are stuggling and have the same team that experts thought would get to the finals.
