Author Elmore Leonard dead at 87
He didn't get his first best seller until he was 60 years old. Once he got one, however, he found the trick and put out some very enjoyable novels, along with some great screenplays. Once Quentin Tarantino "discovered" him, just about anything Leonard inked turned to gold. He wrote things as varied as "Get Shorty" and "3:10 to Yuma."
He also created Marshal Raylan Givens and all the other wonderful characters of Justified.
