Now with D. Anderson, are the rockets a bigger problem for the kings?

If Yao bulks up and gets tough, this team could be awesome. Or if they had a better coach. I think sooner or later Yao will have a true break out year, not just be a good solid player but a truly elite one. If that happens and they can play team ball and integrate Yao and TMac's talent well, they are deep enough and have a good enough supporting cast to win it all. But it all depends on what Yao does, without him truly breaking out they will never be a really great team. If they had a Larry Brown, Phil Jackson, even Rick Adelman at the helm, they could be a true threat. But until either that happens or Yao turns into a beast, they won't be a true contender. Put it all on the line and any of the elite teams in the NBA could dismantle them.

If Sura plays PG then they have a lot more size. Good point, but Sura can't guard Bibby neither can Wesley or James. They still don't have a true PG and that in itself is one of their weaknesses
Yep, but until they get a guy in the area of a true PG, then Sura's gonna be it, and that'll be a weak spot. But Sura didn't do a bad job there last year.

Who says that House is better than Sura ?

House isn't in the area of true PG either, he's basically an undersized SG. Plays like one too. Even classified as one in NBA games and on hoopshype.com.

I don't know how much Houston has, but they should do a trade, or get someone for what they got left.

Unless Yao improves to a pretty good degree, I'm not that worried about him. T-Mac's always gonna be great, but he didn't kill us or anything last year.

Yao may be weak and overrated by some but he still averaged what 18 and 9 on close to 50% shooting. You add that to a superstar swingmen and very good role players. They are no doubt a threat to make the conference finals.

Mike James is a very good defender. His problem is hogging the ball on offense. We don't have a true PG distributor and we rely too much on T-Mac to do that. If Sura is healthy, he will start and James will back him up. Wesley is our weakest starter. If Anderson can displace him in the starting lineup at SG, that's good for us. Many Rockets fans think this is a given.

Interesting comments about Yao. We are holding our breath. Now that we found out he has been working out hard and will return from China early, the anticipation is hard to take. I expect you guys and the Spurs to battle it out for the best record. Our goal is to beat the Mavs for the 4th seed and gel by playoff time. I'm following your team closely also because you have as many subplots as anybody.
