Michigan State University professor John Douglas McCallie, the husband of MSU's women's b-ball coach Joanne P. McCallie, was arrested after biting a police officer at a Florida airport. Joanne herself was not charged.

Eh... I don't know about anybody else....but I can live without any more stories about arrests....this is barely newsworthy outside of East Lansing...

Well, okay, perhaps you have a point.

However, Mr. McCallie has now been talking about leaving MSU, and his wife-coach possibly going to another school. But he's doing the talking, not his wife, and probably not the other schools.

But with coaching openings available at the Univ. of Texas, Univ. of Michigan, Univ. of Florida, Univ. of Cincinnati, Univ. of Washington, Univ. of Central Florida, and LSU (for next season), who knows what could happen after the tournament ends.
