Don't know if it's on the wire yet, but they broke into programming on NBA TV... no surprise, the ROY is Seimone Augustus.

The All-Rookie team consists of:

G - S. Augustus (Lynx)
G - C. Pondexter (Mercury)
G - M. Currie (Sting)
F - C. Dupree (Sky)
F - S. Young (Silver Stars)

How close was the voting between Augustus and Pondexter?

This was a very nice class, the next 3 rookie classes are going to be off the hook. Next year's class? Two words....Ivory Latta. And I'll predict RIGHT NOW, that she'll be running point in New York.
 
Didn't look close, but it was essentially between Pondexter and Augustus with Seimone taking more than half the possible votes. A couple of votes to Sophia Young.

You all have a right to be proud!! I gotta chance to see Seimone in person as a sophomore. She was clearly W ready then. When I sat back and thought about who all I saw in that NCAA regional semi final and final pairing that year: Seimone Augustus, Temeka Johnson, Cheryl Ford, Jamie Carey, Lindsay Whalen and Janell McCarville? I realized just how special those two days were now and just how talented these young women are at the collegiate level.

20 - Cappie Pondexter, Phoenix Mercury
2 - Sophia Young, San Antonio Silver Stars

I expected the voting would be a little tighter than the 14-vote margin than it was. Seimone was the only really productive (statistically speaking) player for the Lynx, while Cappie's numbers benefitted from having such talented teammates as Diana Taurasi, Penny Taylor, Kamila Vodichkova, etc.

Anyway, congratulations Seimone!
