who here misses NBC basketball? i sure miss it especially for the music and it used to get me really exited to see a game. now with espn, abc, and tnt, its kinda boring. what do u guys think? or do u guys think it doesnt really matter?

I do miss the music, but TNT has the best broadcasts by far. I don't really like ESPN's telecasts, and especially not the boring abc announcers.

Yeah I like TNT too. But nothing gets me excited like NBC. I wonder if they could ever bring it back, but I don't think they have enough money cause they don't telivise sports like they used to.

I miss it ALOT. I don't know what it was about NBC doing the NBA, but it seemed like so much more of a professional broadcast.

Remember those triple-headers on saturday and sunday mornings? Now those were the greatest.

I'm not seeing it; I don't understand why anyone would think that games broadcast on NBC were somehow "more exciting" than they are on ABC/ESPN/TNT. Not only did NBC not do anything special, but I'd argue that TNT has the best production out of all of them.

If you want to hear Tesh's song, switch to a cable company that carries NBA TV; you'll hear it every time they have a "Game of the Night," but I can almost guarantee that it won't make the games "more exciting."

Well, I do miss the theme, as I said before. It is not that the games were any more exciting because they were on NBA, they just seemed more professional and "Modern". Just an opinion. Perception counts for alot, and I perceved NBC as being a better sports producer.

TNT is very hard to watch because the scoreboard takes forever to change. Durring a coouple games, it actualy got to the point where I had to keep track of the score myself, because the score keeper was taking his sweet ol' time updating. It was terribly confusing.

I was not intending for you to "bite". Thats why I said that I just perceived it that way.
I liked Costas. I liked their choice of background music in general. I thought the scorekeeping was never a problem. Thats all. Just perception and preference.

CBS was still the best. Stockton calling it, Pat O'Brien on the sidelines, JB in the studio, good days. I like TNT a lot, more than NBC though NBC destroys ABC.

ABC is bad.

I do miss the NBC theme song. Somehow that silly John Tesh jingle just makes me harken back to Bulls/Knicks battles when I was growing up...

As far as commentating, I think Al Michaels and Hubie are pretty good together.
