NBC Sports app issues.

#1
I've been using the app through my Roku to watch Kings games for several years. Halfway through the first quarter of the last Thunder game my game was cut off. The app's interface was changed; there was no emphasis on local sports nor was there a replay section. When I select a Kings game it says the game isn't available forr ATT customers in my area. I live in Sacramento. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the app. I've rebooted the Roku. Has anybody else been having issues? Any fixes?

I noticed the recent change on iphone app.

I don’t use it often, as I mostly watch at home via DirectTV and record every game, but I tried to stream one of the recent OKC games via the iPhone app while I was visiting with family and it was as you describe.

The “live” section didn’t have the game listed and I couldn’t find it. I then tried the “MyTeams” NBC app and it told me my DTV account wasn’t authorized. When I went back to the regular NBC Sports app I somehow found the game and got it to work. But then the very next game, I couldn’t find the KINGS game listed anywhere.

I don’t know what’s up with their app, but they definitely made some major changes.

When I looked to use it said it wouldn't work in blackout areas if you didn't also have a cable package. So its really only for people who have subscriptions already to watch on the go. At least thats how I understood it.

I use an ATT UVerse account. I've been watching games through the app using that account for about eight years. Based on the replies I can only assume NBC took away our ability to watch games in various zip codes. If we are subscribed to a streaming service that requires nothing but an internet connection, we should be able to access that service from anywhere we happen to be, on any device we happen to have access to. That's just how the internet works. Any limitations to that are theft. We go from place to place; we carry the internet in our pocket; location has no relevance to whether or not we can use a service we pay for. I have no idea how I am going to watch games now.

I have been having problems with League Pass not recognizing my location properly (appears this is largely a problem with the Clippers games, and I have resolved it after a few hurdles), I'm still able to watch on the Comcast Sports app on my Shield TV though.

The search function on the forums has been removed. Sorry, that's not under the mods' control.

You might try an advanced Google search, restricting the site to www.kingsfans.com

Alternately, if you know who posted the message you are looking for (for instance yourself) you can go to that member's page and look through all of their posts in chronological order.

And since that game, I've been unable to watch the Kings using the smart tv app. I'll have to wait until the Playoffs to see the Kings play again. Total bu****it by NBC.

Since being subscribed to a channel apparently no longer means actually being able to watch that channel, I got a free trial of Fubo to watch tonight's game. Their stream is really poor quality, but I have to be here some way.
