NBA sends warning against gang signs

You should at least have the integrity to actually wait for a white player to actually throw signs, and then not get called out for it before you cry double-standard.

In the society we live in, it is almost more safe to assume a white player wouldn't get fined for throwing up a gang sign then it is to assume Paul Pierce meant to throw up a gang sign in the first place. Yes he has his origins, his history, and his race against him at this juncture, but I think its unfair to base any judgment in this matter on that. If anybody saw the movie "Crash" you know what I mean.

As it stands, I am out of this argument because I find that I am receiving very little support on the issue, and frankly the bigger picture here means a lot to me, and that argument really doesn't have a place on this forum. So have fun debating whether or not he meant it instead of your perceptions and your socialization.

Based on what? An overwhelming preponderance of evidence?

As is often the case when topics like this come up, it appears as though discussion germane to Kingsfans.com has ended. So, unless there are really strong objections, I think it would probably be a good idea just to close the thread.

I'm not exactly sure what Pierce meant with his hand gesture but a three fingers standing up is a west side sign. Using hand gesture to show some kind of affiliation with a group or territory to me can be grouped with gang sign.

For those of you who don't think its a gang sign, try using it on an East side basketball park. You throw that type of hand gesture around in the wrong place, you get shot.

But whether its a gang sign or not, it is unproffesional and bring bad taste to the NBA.

Man Peirce is to damn rich to be a gangster. I dont care what he thinks but the man has to much to lose to be a real gangster.
